The Presidential Leadership Cabinet is a group of students that will serve as
representatives of the President's Office and the Alumni Office.  This organization
serves as the hosts and hostesses for various guests on campus, ranging from
alumni and potential donors to President Brown's guests.  Members engage in
leadership development training, service activities, and social events.

and are in good standing with the school and hold at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Students that apply must fill out an application, get a faculty/staff recommendation,
and participate in an interview.

Students interested in applying should be enthusiastic and demonstrate strong
communication skills, be reliable, dependable and creative.  Members must have
an interest in students, alumni and public relations.  They also must have pride
in Tech, be flexible and diplomatic.

How much does it cost?

The PLC requires no membership dues, but simply asks members for time and
effort.  In addition to attending various events throughout the year, PLC members
hold five to eight general meetings per semester.  Attendance is very important,
but contribution is the key.

What are the benefits of being a PLC member?

Members will gain leadership and volunteer experience.  Opportunities to lead,
serve, and work in a team are all available within the group.  Members can network
and build relationships with fellow members and various offices across campus,
as well as with significant Tech figures, including Dr. and Mrs. Brown.  Ultimately,
the experience of being involved in an organization that "gives back" to Tech is
something that the members truly will grow to appreciate.
