| Gerry Laster (MuEd, 1970), was named YACHT BROKER OF THE YEAR, 2011-2012, by the Gulf Coast Yacht Brokers' Association, based in Houston, TX in the Galveston Bay Area. Gerry is Immediate Past President of GCYBA and currently serves as Director on the National Board of the Yacht Brokers' Association of America (YBAA). He is also GM of Texas Coast Yachts, a yacht dealership and brokerage in Clear Lake Shores, TX. and an avid sailor active in local sailing activities and races. |

| Pat "Prissy" Jones Wattam (Mus Ed 1973) was named Realtor of the Year for 2011 by the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors. The award was presented to her during the annual awards and officer installation ceremony held on January 12, 2012. The Realtor of the Year is someone who is not only successful as a Realtor, but who is active on the Board committees as well as state and national levels. Pat has spoken at many national conventions, written articles and is often interviewed for articles in national Realtor publications. She is also President Elect of the Board. |

| Elizabeth Bowles Sharp graduated with her Ph.D. in Human Performance (emphasis on Physical Education Pedagogy) from Middle Tennessee State University on May 7, 2011. She also received the Ph.D. Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year award from the Health and Human Performance Department. Sharp will begin her new position in August as Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO. |

Kat Robinson (JOUR 95) is the 2011 recipient of the Henry Award for Media Support, given by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, for her continued reporting on travel and food in and around Arkansas. Kat writes Tie Dye Travels, her personal syndicated blog about her travels in and out of the Natural State -- and Eat Arkansas, the Arkansas Times blog for food lovers. She regularly writes about travel for Arkansas Wild and is a columnist for Serious Eats.
