One of Tech's oldest traditions, Family Day started as Dad's Day in 1924. At the first Dad's Day, one of the more interesting events was a parade of the school's livestock. The modern Family Day has a whole host of activities, ending with the traditional Wonder Boy Football game.

Located in the heart of campus, the Hindsman Bell Tower was built in honor of ledendary Tech Coach Sam Hindsman. Coach Hindsman's former players, family, and friends established the Tower in his honor in 2011.
